Founded in 2012, the Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation is an independent foundation that provides 
funding to nonprofit organizations in the areas of health, youth and family and animal welfare.


Job Summary
The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation is seeking a full-time Facility Manager. The Facility 
Manager supports general maintenance and building upkeep, repair, grounds, equipment and monitoring 
the facility.


Reports To
Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities
The Facility Manager is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and 
monitoring of the facility. Key Job Responsibilities include:
•     Day-to-Day general maintenance of the property to include daily trash removal, removal and 
properly dispose of all recyclable materials restocking/cleaning restrooms, 
sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning/polishing/floor 
maintenance for elevators, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces, change light bulbs, interior 
and exterior
•     Maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
•     Maintain commercial kitchen
•     Schedule routine and as needed service appointments for equipment, elevator, HVAC, etc.
•     Oversee service that provides trash removal
•     Maintain exterior property, including snow removal
•     Schedule facility usage by non-profits and other community-based groups
•     Make ready space as needed for use by non-profits and other community-based groups
•     Performs other work-related duties as assigned
•     Must be able to work flexible hours

 

Education and Work Experience Requirements
•     High school education or equivalent
•     3 -5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
•     Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
•     Ability to work with minimal supervision
•     Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
•     Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
•     Bi-Lingual – English/Spanish preferable

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
•     Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
•     Ability to climb ladders
•     Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
•     Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints

 

Compensation
•     Full-time
•     Salary commensurate with experience, excellent benefits.
